Attorney Ms. Settenbrino leverages 17 years of experience practicing law to provide family and businesses services with extraordinary legal advocacy. She has been a fierce advocate for fair access to the court and judicial reform. Ms. Settenbrino has hosted a monthly radio program on compelling legal and political topics for the past four years. During her monthly broadcasts, Ms. Settenbrino departs from her usual focus on family law to discuss compelling legal and political topics with notable guests for an audience of about 170,000 listeners. She is a pioneer in her effort to obtain meaningful judicial and court reform for the public and the legal professional. Currently, she is conducting an active campaign to implement reform in the judicial selection process. She advocates on behalf of litigants for fair access to justice. Ms. Settenbrino specializes in addressing complex issues related to pre-nuptial and separation agreements, divorce, domestic violence, child abuse, custody, and fraud.
A member of the American Bar Association; the New York State Bar Association; the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York; the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York; and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; Ms. Settenbrino remains abreast of developments in her field and serves clients under the jurisdiction of those regions. She previously co-chaired the American Bar Association’s Subcommittees on Judicial Ethics and Ethics and Professionalism. She is also a teacher of ethic and law.
Ms. Settenbrino graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn College and earned her Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Her earlier professional appointments include Assistant District Attorney of the Appellate Trial Bureau for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, Adjunct Associate Professor for Brooklyn College, and Associate Attorney for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).
Recognized for her contributions to her field, Ms. Settenbrino was a 2010 nominee for Woman of the Year. In 2009, she received an Honor Citation from the New York State Senator of the 22nd District; an Honor Proclamation from the Council Member of the 23rd District and the Chair of the New York City Council Committee on Finance; and a Humanitarian Award from the Aleh Foundation. In 2007, she attended the Jewish Education Program’s Annual Dinner as the guest of honor.
